Cosmetology, aesthetics and nail technician skills and career management techniques through hands on and interaction with peers and instructors and clients.
Full Time Student Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 32 hours per week Approximately 47 weeks OR Full Time Student Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 24 hours per week Approximately 63 weeks 1500 clock hours
Two hours in theory Tuesday -Thursday. The rest of your day is spent in the salon or spa.
The test are only as difficult as each student level of learning. The more you study the better you will retain the information.
You will receive clients on a rotation basis. You may also invite guests into the salon & spa to start building your clientele.
If you want something you must work at your top potential. You should be able to achieve your goals. Set your goals high and work hard.

Careers and Post-Graduation
We have business classes on Tuesdays. First each salon meets for a business meeting. The business training will cover all phasesof preparing for the career field and being ready to enter the job market. Our students are required to prepare resume and do interviews with potiential employers. We have frequent guest who help prepare our students for the real world.
Each state has its own licensing requirements. Go to the state government website and look for information on Cosmetology and/or Barbering licensing information.
Equipment and Supplies
Books and kits are available the first day of class.
The student kit provides all necessary tools and supplies for each course.
Practicalities
No. Affordable housing is generally available in the Fort Smith area.
Public transportation is available.
Cosmetology
We use the Milady cutting manual. We also have Kasho shears and work with the best tools.
We start on our manikins and work on each other. We move to guest after ther Phase 1 training.
Yes, we encourage you to work on family AND friends!
Products and Product Lines
Spray Vitamins are the new way to take vitamins. A quick and effective way to take vitamins that is absorbed more effectively than any other method. If you have never been introduced to the effectiveness of spray vitamins then please let us help you, as the new alternative way of taking vitamins. We also have a special program for the students and graduates of the Academy of Salon and Spa. Please ask the Director for more information.
We are a Wella Signature School. We also use Sebastian, PNI Nail Products, Global Keratin Products, Eminence Skin Care, China Glaze Nail Polish.
We use PNI Nail Products, China Glaze and Art Club.
